Reflecting on a childhood with sport as a key foundation and in more recent years becoming the Father of 2 boys with an infinite amount of energy to burn, it's easy to see how this began.
Football quickly emerged as the no.1 outlet for my eldest son, but it was clear that solely pretending to be Mo Salah in the garden every weekend would not be a sustainable solution.
Fortunately, I was not the only parent facing this dilemma and with the great support of the club and 2 other Dads, we set up a team.
We're now in our second season with matches on a Saturday, a highlight of the week for all involved.
We are superbly supported by a great set of parents, who understand this all about having fun, making friends, learning skills and life lessons along the way.
The only part to question is the coach's tactics but fortunately a group of 7 year old boys very rarely listen to these!!!
